Applicants will be notified of their selection into the Educational Support Program, generally within two weeks of interview. Notification is not intended to imply and shall not grant any contract or contractual right. Prior to entering the program, participants agree to devote the time, attention and effort necessary to perform and complete the requirements set forth in all program policies and procedures, and agree to provide all necessary information and documentation requested upon entry and throughout the duration of the program.
To ensure smooth entry into the program, participants attend intake session which includes an explanation of all aspects of the Educational Support Program, specific program requirements (i.e., program guidelines, policies and procedures) and related benefits as stated herein, program expectations, and the signing of all program documents/agreements.
The following current documents may be required:
Picture ID or Texas Driver's License
Social Security cards for program participants and child(ren)
Birth certificates (not from hospital) for program participant and child(ren)
Child support statements (Customer Identification Number)
If applicable, the following current documents may also be required:
Proof of car registration and insurance
Proof of income and expenses: child support statements, pay stubs, tax returns, list of debts, etc.
Proof of TANF; Medicaid; Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), subsidized childcare Services Veteran's Administration (VA) benefits, Workman's Compensation, financial support from participant's family, and/or any other benefits.
Copies of all legal documents pertaining to or relevant to participant's legal, marital and/or parental status. Such documents include but are not limited to separation agreements, divorce and child custody papers, and protective orders.
Proof that applicant has filed for child support.
Other documentation as requested by the Educational Support Program Director.
